A insect has multiple brains about one for every function. The brains are called ganglia. The insect has one stomach and three sections the foregut, midgut, and hind gut. Each section has a job. The foregut breaks down the large food particles. The midgut takes nutrients out of the food. The hind gut takes the water out of the leftovers and turns it into a waste pellet. A bug does not have any veins or arteries. There is no oxygen carried in the bugs blood (hemolymph). Along the thorax and the abdomen a row of small openings allow oxygen to pass. The oxygen travels threw the many sections of the tracheal trunk to the cells where oxygen is needed.
