Inducers AKA Coils

It is true electronics can be a little complicated but if you brake it all down you will be amazed at how simple they are. The most simple part is the inducer to make your on coil is take a piece of wire and wrap it around a piece of iron. When energy from a DC power source moves forward through a coil it makes a electro magnetic field and yes the electro magnetic field is the basest  of electro magnets. To make a small electro magnet you will need a Dcell battery, a iron nail, and some enameled wire take the wire and wrap it around the nail the more coils you have the stronger the magnet when you are done wrapping cut the ends of your wires long so you can attach them to your battery. There are lots of different cores for inducers they could have a iron core or a plastic core or even a air core. Finally there are transformers no not the cool robots but this kind is just as cool a transformer is two coils that share a core when the first coil makes a electro magnetic field that field covers the second coil to and it reacts to it by making its own currant.
