If you live in Des Moines near 30th or University street then you should try fishing at Copper Creek lake its a nice little lake with a big track around it and lots of fish.The best lures to use at Copper Creek is curl tail jigs they work well for crappie and crank baits work well for bass and tubes work fine and plastic minnows work as well. The fish you will find at Copper Creek are ,bluegill ,crappie, bass, catfish and other kinds of sunfish and panfish. There are lots of cool paces near Copper Creek there is the Copper Creek movie theater and the Copper Creek golf park there are lots more like the Hyvee and other neat places. At Copper Creek you can plan a party there if you wanted and the have a very nice play ground for the kids. I hope you liked my blog on

This is another place in Des Moines that sounds very interesting. So did you fish at the lake? If so, did you catch any fish? Some of the fishes you named I did not know so I had to look them up. Thanks to your post I am learning too. I guess this is my homeschooling. :-)
